Chimera (chimera.chat and the Chimera mobile app) lets you chat with many AI models in one place. This page says what we keep and why.
What we keep
- Your chats, files and chimeras. The messages you send, the photos and files you add, what the AI answers, and the chimeras (assistants) you create. We keep them so you can come back to them. You can delete a chat, all chats, or your whole account in Settings.
- An anonymous id. When you open Chimera we create an id for your browser or phone, stored in a cookie or the phone keychain. You can use Chimera with only this.
- Your email, if you save your account. Saving your account is optional. We use your email, and Google sign-in if you choose it, only to log you in and to send you a login code. We do not collect your name or photo.
- Billing. If you pay, Stripe handles your card. We keep your plan, your credit balance and a Stripe customer id. We never see your card number.
Who processes it
To answer you, your messages (and the files you attach to them) are sent to the AI model you pick, through our model provider. Account login is run by Clerk. Payments are run by Stripe. Hosting, storage and email run on Cloudflare. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
- Export your data from Settings, Data.
- Delete all chats, or delete your account, from Settings. Deleting your account removes your chats, files, chimeras and credits. If you have an active plan, cancel it first.
- Write to us at the address below for any request about your data.

Chimera is not for children under 13.
